Our Church's History

In 2009, New Wilmington Presbyterian Church celebrated its 200th Anniversary!

In 1809, Reverand Alexander Murray was the first pastor called to New Wilmington Presbyterian Church. The first building was a humble beginning of a little log meeting house built on the site what is now known as Fair Oaks Cemetary.

If you would like to learn more about our church's rich and interesting story, pick up a copy of History of the New Wilmington Presbyterian Church 1809-2009. Contact the church office for more information.

Many thanks to those who offered their time in compiling this information throughout the years.
