Dominican Republic Mission Prayer Partners Needed

This year’s mission team will be in the Dominican Republic from March 15-23 and asks you all for your prayers! As always, they will be conducting medical clinics in Sabaneta de Yásica and the surrounding areas, assisting with youth programs and working on construction projects during the week.

They conduct medical clinics twice daily (usually from 8-11 a.m. and then from 1-4 p.m., but start and stop times are always a bit of an adventure in the Dominican Republic), where they consult with Dominican patients and make use of the medicines that NWPC and partner congregations have helped purchase. In terms of youth programming, team members work with local children from the church and community in what would best mirror Vacation Bible School in the United States.

For this year’s building project, we hope to help with home repairs, as in the past. Usually these projects entail working with floors and roofs. The youth ministries and construction teams follow similar schedules, so if you have a spare moment during either the mornings or the afternoons, offer a prayer for our team members, our families at home, and our Dominican partners. The team asks you to pray that the Lord will use our presence to His glory during our time in Sabaneta. ¡Gracias!

Prayer Partners needed for members of the 27th Annual Dominican Republic Mission Team. Participating from New Wilmington Presbyterian Church are Joel Postema, Noah Postema, Diane Camlin, Don Shelenberger, Lena Aiken, Chris Parish, Linda McGrath, Sandy Davis, and WC Students Carli Sebest, MacKenzie Gruber, Angela Bowell, Josie Toporcer. The team departs March 16 and returns March 23. They will be providing medical clinics, doing home visits, providing education and working construction. Your prayers are requested for safety in travel and serving, for good health of all, for Dominican friends and team members alike that God will be seen at work so all would be drawn closer to Him. If you are able to pray daily for a member of the team, please contact Linda McGrath at mcgrathnw@verizon.net or calling 724-730-3813.
