May 2021 Challenge: Advice for Graduates

The May Challenge from the Discipleship Steering Committee is to picture yourself giving a graduation speech or just being asked for your best advice to graduates or your younger self. Now is your chance! If you were giving a graduation speech, what would your title be? If you wanted to give advice to your younger self, what would it be? Please share your thoughts by emailing it to media@nwpresby.org and we’ll share them in the space below at the end of the month.

Speaking of graduates, if your son or daughter has received a post high school degree in 2020 or 2021, please inform the church office by May 23, 2021, by emailing office@nwpresby.org and provide student’s name, degree, major, and school / university attended.

Submitted advice from our congregants:

Find faith keepers. Those who will keep you on faith journey
Do something today that will make a difference for tomorrow.
Doing better is better than wanting to do better.

“Understanding God’s true wisdom and learning to trust him, no matter what, is the greatest lesson your new grad can learn in this graduation season.”
“3 Biblical Life Lessons for Graduates:
1. God never wastes our time
2. God means for you to be where you are
3. Stand still and wait on God’s timing “
by Gary Hansen, contributing  author & president of “Careers With a Purpose” from Missouri.
