NWPC’s Mission Committee is focussing on Mexico for the month of August 2022. During the month, the Mexican flag will be displayed in our chancel as a reminder of our mission partners there.
One such partner is ROOT International, a nonprofit ministry that works to bring resources to churches, other ministries and community organizations to facilitate the work God has called them to do. Art and Becky Vogan from Bethany Presbyterian Church in Mercer, PA, help to oversee the work of ROOT. Becky spoke during our Aug. 7 worship service.
The resources that ROOT provides are food, clothes, household items, small and large appliances, computers, Bibles (especially in Spanish), tracts, school supplies, toys, blankets, vehicles and many other miscellaneous items. The majority of these items are acquired from churches, colleges, individual donations, and businesses.
